Our Adventure-Filled Honeymoon

I never expected our honeymoon to be so adventurous.

My wife and I made arrangements to travel to St. Lucia. The flight to the island of St. Lucia was a piece of cake, but once we were in St. Lucia, that feeling of ease disappeared in a hurry. We landed on the south side of the island, which meant we had to drive an hour to our hotel on the north side of the island. Our van shuttle experience consisted of speeds in excess of 60 mph on a one-lane road with oncoming traffic and a 500-foot drop to the right. There were many close calls, but it seemed normal for the driver. Luckily, we made it to the hotel alive, but the adventure didn't end there.

On our first day, we took a jeep tour up a mountain and met the locals who sold us the freshest fruit I had ever tasted in my life. We then went to a local bar, which was beyond unique. The friendly crowd energized the room. We then went on a waterfall adventure where we swam in a swimming hole, which was extremely refreshing. We relaxed for the next few days until we choose to take a helicopter ride back to the airport. The scenery gave me the chills. Being up there made me feel more alive than ever before.

We were very lucky to have spotted an ad for St. Lucia while watching the channels we get with direct tv deals a few months prior to our wedding. If we hadn't spotted that ad, we would have missed out on the best experience of our lives.

I appreciate the guest post, Emerson Moses

Another Pair of Boots

I feel amazing right now after an hour of work out in the gym with my husband. I felt very accomplished and I am looking forward for another round tomorrow in the gym and I am hoping that I can keep up the routine from now on. Honestly, it is so hard to stay with your diet plan and exercise routine especially if you are working full-time and going to school part-time.

On the other hand, we are deeply happy to help the parents of our Godson Jaden moved their things in their new house. It is a brand spanking new house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The place is not too far from where we live and we are looking forward to visit our godson every now and then. Well, my friend Mrs. B gave me a pair of winter boots that she forgot to wear since last year. Supposedly, her foot got bigger after she got pregnant with my godson Jaden and her foot didn't return to its original size that is why she decided to gave it to me.

Below is the picture of my new brown boots from Mrs. B. This is my 5th pair of boots so far and counting!

I Love Herbs

I have been trying to get back in shape for a very long time. I am not used to being a little heavy for my height and sometimes it makes me sad knowing that the only way I can lose the weight is either work hard and go to the gym or try something new from Herbal Life. I have known Herbalife even before arriving in the United States of America in 2006.

One of my childhood friends actually is a well-known Herbalife Distributor in the Philippines and she is a living witness of how Herbalife products change her life. My friend tried their weight management products and she was successful. By the way, Herbal Life offers Herbal Nutrition products for digestive health, heart health, children's health, men and women's health, stress management and many more. They also provide personal care products such as skin revitalization, hair care, fragrances, body or skin essentials and more.

The Town

We had the opportunity to watch earlier the midnight screening of "The Town" earlier today starring Ben Affleck, Blake Lively, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall and many more. Ben Affleck did really great in portraying as the bank robber who in the end fell in love with the bank manager. The movie had everything from drama, romance, action and it talks about crime and gangster adaptation.

I think Ben Affleck is really great as an actor and director.

Teach Me Today

I may have a degree in Banking and Finance but oh boy dealing with Math word problems was not easy. There are just times that I wanted to give up because it feels like there's no one I can turn to for help. Anyways, today I had the chance to have a little chit chat with my niece on my husband's side and she told me that she is thankful to have found this wonderful website called Tutor Next that offers online tutoring to the different areas of Math such as College algebra and Factoring polynomials.

By the way, one of the many things I like about Tutor Next website is that they provide highly qualified online tutors to all their clients out there who need help in dealing with Math problems 24/7. Tutor Next website will also allow anyone to try their Free math help program, Free homework help, Math homework help and many more.

T'was Success!

The 29th birthday celebration of my husband was very successful and I thank his family for driving from out of town to celebrate with us. My husband received clothes from his Dad as a gift and he also received a lot of cash from his older sisters. I now realized that there is no greater joy than spending your special day with your family and friends. By the way, here are some pictures that I took during the celebration...

Wolverine the Ultimate Superhero

I think that Wolverine is not only the best X-men; he is the pinnacle of mutant evolution. His only real superpowers are an ultimate healing or regenerating rate and the ability to grow claws from between his knuckles. Wolverine's ability to heal allows him to get stabbed and the wound heals itself within seconds. This ability led him to be experimented on by the military.

This experimentation is what makes Wolverine truly powerful. He was tricked into undergoing an experiment to fuse the strongest metal to his bones. He survived the process and now has an admantium skeleton, which is indestructible. When combined with his natural ability to heal, Wolverine is almost totally invincible. He can get shot, stabbed and beaten only to get back up for more in a few seconds.

Wolverine's only weakness is a susceptibility to magnetic forces, which is a problem since one of the supervillians can control metal. Wolverine is also extremely impulsive and hotheaded. By the third movie he shows that he is capable of learning. He also suffers from amnesia because he was shot with bullets made from the same metal that coats his skeleton.

I love watching the X-men movies on direct tv ohio because the basic channels are almost always playing one of them. The movies were not vulgar or gory enough to have much edited from them, so I feel all right watching these movies with my kids.

We will be meeting my husband's folks at Famous Dave restaurant on the west side part of town. I am also making another surprised birthday party with his co-workers tonight. I hope that the birthday bash will be a success.

Killers and Letters to Juliet Movie Night

About two days ago my husband and I were watching two movies in a row. The first movie that we watched was the "Killers" with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl and secondly, we watched the movie "Letters to Juliet" with Amanda Seyfried. What I loved about this movie is the fact that they both center on love and family. These movies that I mention above are perfect for a quiet and cozy evening!

Law & Order Los Angeles

I can not wait until Law & Order Los Angles starts this fall. I will be watching on my satellite TV every week. I loved the original Law & Order and watched it from the start all the way to the season finale. I hope that Law & Order Los Angeles will be just as good. The other two Law & Order shows, SVU and Criminal Intent are awesome and I'm expecting the same from Law & Order Los Angeles. Terrence Howard will be the District Attorney and should be great in this role. Also, Alfred Molina with be the Deputy District Attorney and is a renowned British actor. The cast looks great and I can't wait to see what they do with the entire series. Though the city has changed, hopefully the drama and cases will be just as riveting and connected to what is currently happening around the world, as was done with the original Law & Order. What I do look forward to as well is the contrast between East coast and West coast crime and attitudes. It should be interesting to see if the series captures this correctly.

Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

Happy 29th Birthday Honey, I love you!

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday!

Injury Lawyer

I just remembered last week while hubby was driving on the freeway, a truck driver almost hit us and I was about to throw up because I was so nervous. Well, my husband had been driving for 11 years but he is still scared to drive on the freeway.

By the way, one of our former neighbors in the Philippines who is now residing in Austin for twenty plus years recently had an accident. The person that hit him was a 16 year old teenager who was drunk while driving his vehicle. My neighbor was injured but he was able to pull through and get well again. His kids wanted to get justice for what happened to their dad that is why they hire the best Injury Lawyer Austin to make sure that their father will get what he deserved. I am thankful that after so many weeks in the hospital my former neighbor finally went home and be with his loving family again.

Hawaii Surgery

When I think of the Aloha state I always imagined that everyone who resides in Hawaii has amazing buff body or very well fit body. I guess I am stereotyping again because according to my friend who is a resident in Hawaii for five years now not everybody is fit there. Generally, people who lived there love the outdoor especially the beach and the beautiful scenery surrounding the state.

Sometimes, maintaining your body figure or maintaining your healthy habit is quite difficult to achieve. For instance, these friend that I mention above had given birth to a healthy baby boy in 2008 but she told me that she have a hard time losing the weight that she gained during her pregnancy. Well, she told me that she wants to consult a Hawaii Plastic Surgery expert in the next few months to see if they can help her with her current situation.

I assured her that whatever decision she will make that I will always be here for her no matter what!

Grown Ups Movie 2010

A few weeks ago my husband and I went to watch the movie "Grown Ups" starring Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider and David Spade. The movie evolves about five friends who were reunited after their childhood basketball coach had passed away and spend their 4th of July together.

The movie with Adam Sandler is hilarious as ever and every character delivers incredibly funny punch lines. Check this out folks and by the way, it is rated PG-13.

Got Calendar?

I am more upbeat and extra happy today after I found out that we will be receiving our first Christmas bonus from the company I work for the last three years. I am glad that our hard work and dedication to the company pays off. Extra money for the upcoming holidays are always welcome especially that I have a long lists of things that I needed to purchase for my family in the Philippines.

The owner of the company will be there during the meeting next week to announce the date when the bonuses will be disburse. The marketing people will also train us to become a better customer oriented specialists and will introduce the promotional calendars that will be available next year to be given away to all their clients across the United States of America.

I think this year had been really great for me and for my family and I hope that my long term plan or goals will be finally realized sooner.

Legit Complaints

Working in the food industry has taught me to be more patient when dealing with angry customers and to maintain a positive attitude during the course of conversation with them. It is not easy to maintain your posture and your calmness when dealing with annoying customers who always think that they are always right.

One of my team members loses her temper when the customers started cursing her and turned violent towards her. I was not there that day but I was able to watch the whole video during the whole bickering and argument between my colleague and the client. I am glad that my other team members was in their right mind and immediately called the police to handle the situation.

These are just a few incidents that we wish that we have some sort of group that will handle major complaints from the customers just like The March Group Complaints my friend referred to me. I never have nasty confrontations from our clients ever before so I am hoping that it will never happen to me; but if for instance it will happen to me I hope that I will bring myself together and stay calm.

Repair Your Credit Today

I remember that when my father-in-law heard that I got a new credit card, he called me right away and told me to make sure that I maintain a good credit history and always be on time in paying my debts.

My father-in-law shared a story to me and my husband about a former colleague who cannot get a house or a car because he has a lot of bad credit standing on his part. One of the many drastic changes his former colleague had to go through is to hire the best credit repair services to fix his problem and help him get his life back on track.

While scanning the web today, I have visited a website called Credit Repair Services who specializes in credit repair services solutions such as removing late payments,  remove charge-offs, remove judgment, removing repossessions and many more. Chocolate Covered Strawberries

I was late in posting a photo of my chocolate covered strawberries that I made last Wednesday as a dessert for my guests. I am truly happy that my husband suggested this easy to make dessert because my visitors just loved it. It will only take you 10-15 minutes to prepare this dessert. Try this out today!

Snowboarding

I am looking forward for next week because it will be officially the beginning of fall season this year and also my gorgeous and handsome husband will turn 29 years old this month. Well, we are planning to invite his family from out of town to celebrate with us on his natal day and I am hoping that everything that we planned will be push-through.

Anyways, one of my nephews on my husband's side recently moved in the showy state of Colorado to pursue his degree in Chemical Engineering. He is very excited for the moved because he like outdoor sports such as kayaking, rafting, snowboarding, skiing, fishing and a lot more. Apparently, he had told his mother that one of his snowboards were broken because it fell on the road while he was on his way to Durango, Colorado this past weekend. My nephew was upset about what happened but he told his mom that he just need to save some money to purchase another snowboard before winter season starts.

Tennis in the Table

One of the many things I missed about my family in the Philippines is playing Table Tennis with them. We are neither rich nor poor but I consider my family as a middle class family who all work together to make ends meet. Every weekend my family and relatives will get together to do some cook out or play games that involves a lot of people; I think this is really perfect if you have a huge family like mine.

Anyways, one thing I loved about my parents is that they always encourage us to play any sports that we want and they are always there to support us from start to finish. I really missed those times that I am with my family and friends because with them I feel complete. Don't get me wrong, I do loved being here with my husband but it is not the same without having your immediate family with you.

Well, I better saved up some money folks so I can visit my family anytime I want it! See you later everybody...

Scholarships and Grants

I have a lot of friends at work that are trying to go back to school but one thing that stops them from going back to school is not having the money to pay for college. Well, I have the opportunity to share with them about my experienced on how I managed to go back to school using "college grants". College grants are dispense every year by the United States government helping thousands of individual who are qualified to received this awards for school purposes or research project.

While scanning the web earlier today, I have read an article from the School Scholarships website about the different types of scholarships a future student or individual would like to apply in order for them to start getting their college degree for their future benefit. The different categories of "college scholarships" that are offered today are as follows: "minority scholarships", athletic scholarships, family scholarships, subject scholarships and many more.

By the way, if you are interested to know more about college scholarships or grants you may please click any of the following links above for a more detailed explanation!

What Not To Wear

It's very rare for me and my mother to ever agree on a television show. We have completely different ideas of what is entertaining to watch. But when it comes to Stacy and Clinton on What Not to Wear, we somehow can always agree. What Not to Wear is one of my favorite shows on TLC. It seems that I have been tuning my best tv programming to this show for more years than I can remember. I love watching the entire team on this show come together to complete amazing makeovers on women who are so deserving.

While I love seeing the end result and watching the women and men on this show get to shop and spend a week in New York, I am more interested in the before pictures. The secret footage they obtain of what these women dress like in their every day lives is amazing. Not only do these women wear awful, ill fitting clothes, but most of them put absolutely no time into taking care of their appearance at all. Getting to see Stacy and Clinton come in and push them to take better care of themselves and in turn make them feel better about themselves is one of the best reasons to watch the show.

Go Generics!

Wow I have never considered before that purchasing generic brand name actually saves you a lot of money not until I have heard on the radio and read it online. Supposedly, when you choose to purchase generic brand names it will help saves you a whopping amount of $1,500 per year.

Here are some of the lists of items that are best when you purchase them by generics:

  • Over-the counter medicine or prescription medicine- generic drugs are just as safe as the real deal because drug companies are required to make generic brands with the same ingredients as the expensive drugs. Generic brands have to meet the same quality and safety as to what the real version of that said medicine is and have to be approved by FDA.
  • Cereals- generic brand names of your favorite cereals are as just goods as the one you like to eat every morning, the difference is that how they were advertise or presented to the public consumptions.
  • Baking Items- generic names of your favorite baking products are also as good as the name brand version of the same product; most of the time they are also made by the same company.

MS Disease

Did you know that Multiple Sclerosis or MS is more rampant to women than to men? The Multiple Sclerosis disease affects the brain and the spinal cord in your body. The disease will occur especially when the myelin sheaths around the axons of the brain or spinal cord are damaged and as a result there will be nerve degeneration.

By the way, here are the Ms Symptoms that you need to keep an eye or look for such as tingling sensation of your body, numbness, pricking, loss of sensitivity, weakness of the muscles, and difficulty in moving around especially the ability to balance or coordinate body movement, difficulty in your speech ability, experiencing bowel or bladder problem, fatigue, visual problem and more.

Well, I am thankful that I have found this wonderful website called All About MS because they are created to help people out there who are suffering from Multiple Sclerosis to be more aware and to give them hopes about these disease. For instance, the website talks about Ms Diet which includes taking Vitamin D especially for young children, eating food with low saturated fats, taking multi-vitamins and mineral supplements everyday and many more.

If you have friends or family members that are suffering from MS disease you may want to inform them about this website to gain more information about this type of disease!

Restaurant Hopping

I am getting ready to go to bed after hours of studying for my exam later today. I hope that studying for my exam will help me get the highest score possible. Anyways, after I got out from work yesterday my husband decided to check new games at Best Buy and since we both are hungry we decided to check out this Mexican Restaurant called Carnitas Queretaro. Wow, the food is mind blowing because it is super delicious.

Hubby decided to take pictures of the place and here's the sample below!

Austin Surgeon

I started talking to this girl at one of my classes that I took this fall and I really like her a lot because she is so humble and pretty. She is one of the first classmates that approach me to be their new friend. She is originally from Austin but her family moved to El Paso, Texas because her father was promoted and he needed to manage their branch office down here.

Anyways, she told me that she have a half-sister who is still residing in Austin who just gave birth to a healthy baby boy name Kaden this month. Supposedly, her half-sister wanted to consult one of the many certified  plastic surgeons Austin TX later this week. My classmate even shows a picture of her half-sister and I think that she is a very attractive woman but her half-sister find herself ugly and unattractive.

I am thinking that her half-sister could probably be experiencing a postpartum depression. I hope that she will soon realize how pretty she is.

Proxy Pro 7

Every time my computer starts messing up, I always wish that I am a computer genius or computer geek of some type so I don't have to ask for assistance from my nephews or my husband. I have been acquainted with computers since 2001 but I am not an expert in anything related to computers. I have only learned the basic things that I needed to know so I can perform or used the computer when I needed to.  For instance, I know how to check my emails, chat with my family online or used the Power Point or Microsoft Word to encode data.

While searching the web today, I have found a very interesting article about the usage of  Remote Access software offered by Proxy Pro 7. Actually, remote access software is utilized to help technicians solve your computer problem without having them around you. When a technician runs the remote access software it will allow them to fix your computer without even bothering the person who is currently sign in as the user for the said computer.

If you are a businessman, remote access software will give you great help for your business especially that it is fully secure and offers a "256-bit encryption" considered to be the highest of its kind. If you are interested about Proxy Pro 7 please feel free to download the 30 day trial which includes: remote access software and remote management software tools today!

Resident Evil: After Life 2010

We finally watch the fourth edition of Resident Evil: After Life yesterday and I super love the movie. I am giving the movie an A+ for non-stop action scenes, visual effects, horror effects and more. Since my husband has been a video gamer/player while growing up he had been playing the Resident Evil video games for a long time and were familiar with the characters in the movie.

There are scenes in the movie that is somewhat cheesy but overall the movie was totally awesome. I will not be surprised if in the future I will hear that there will be another fifth installation of this franchise. My husband and I would certainly love to watch it again.

Chains for Tires

One of our newly hired crew is originally from Tennessee but is now residing in Texas for the meantime. She had told everyone that her Dad works as a truck driver and had own several trucks for hire. Well, she had told us that her father works hard to provide for their family and sometimes don't come home for two weeks straight or more.

Anyways, there was one incident that my colleague will never forget about her dad. Supposedly her dad was delivering products on a snowy day. It was snowing really bad that day that he can barely see the road ahead of him. He was thankful that he did not encounter any vehicular accident whatsoever and he give a lot of credit for attaching snow chains and having tire chains wrap around the wheels of his trucks.

By the way, as I was checking the web today I have stumble upon this great website called Easy Trekking that sells a wide selection of  tire chains for passenger vehicles, tire chains for tractor and equipment, tire chains for trucks and commercial vehicles and last but certainly not the least outdoor gears such as tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads and more.

If you are interested to know more about their products please click any of the following links above. Have a wonderful Sunday evening everyone!

Do You Have Any Anger Issues?

I get annoyed when people tell me that I have anger issues. To tell you the truth I have my moments but I can definitely control my emotion before an outburst will happen. I am normally a happy person and I rarely got angry. But while watching the CBS News I have learned that there are five signs when a person has anger problems or issues:

  • Interrupting- supposedly, angry people are impatient, and always have a hard time letting people finish talking or they like to pretend that they are listening to what the other person is saying.
  • Getting upset at little things- for instance, waiting for a friend in the restaurant and you are getting upset because he or she did not arrived on time.
  • Face turns red- when a person is angry their face will turned red, they are fidgeting, and walking back and forth or their hands might be shaking.
  • Complaining- when you start ranting or complaining everyday that will tell you that you have anger management issues.
  • Easily offended- there are just jokes out there that are not meant to be said. People may think that it is just for laughs but be careful folks because someone out there might be building hatred towards you.
By the way, I got the image from Google.

Cowgirl Looking For a Cowboy

My brother-in-law is a professional bull rider before him and my sister-in-law got married twenty-two years ago. They lived in their huge ranch somewhere in New Mexico and every time we visited them they always make sure that we can do horseback riding or watch bull riding contest around the area. I have meet a few of my brother-in-law's nephews and they told me that once they start dating they would want their future girlfriend to love horseback riding or bull riding because it is already part of their everyday life.

In fact, one of my brother-in-laws relatives is a professional bull rider and he traveled all over the country during bull riding events. He had shared with me a few months ago while visiting at my sister-in-laws cabin that a friend of him who is a professional bull rider met his wife through cowgirl dating service. I am more than excited to hear great love story from my brother-in-law's nephews very soon; time will tell.

LA Insurance

One of my closest friends from Texas recently moved in the sunny state of California. She had been divorce from her ex-husband for about three years now and they have two wonderful sons together. I have chatted with her online and she was telling me that she is planning on getting another Los Angeles Car Insurance for her two daughters that will be moving from the Philippines later this month. Her daughters are ages sixteen and eighteen and both knows how to drive a car since they own a taxi cab in the Philippines.

Anyways, she is inviting me to visit her anytime in Los Angeles, California so we can spend together. She also shared to me that she is now currently dating a wonderful man about her age and she is looking forward for a wonderful relationship with him. Well, in the meantime she is getting a brand new car for herself and let her daughters used her old car.

Statue of Liberty

Guest post written by Alex Carter

I've lived in New Jersey all my life but had never made it up to see the Statue of Liberty in person. I've been in the City so many times but most of the time it was to go shopping or see a play on Broadway instead of sight-seeing. So my husband talked me into going to see the great American icon a few Saturdays ago. It was so inspiring to go across the water on the ferry and see the lady rising up from the island.

I wanted to go up inside of it but we didn't so when we were walking around the park on the island me and my husband were just talking but it was really windy that day so I had to ask him to keep repeating himself. he got a little irritated and suggested that maybe I should go to Miracle-Ear if I was having that much trouble with my hearing. I had been putting off all that for a while and after we got make I made an appointment there. It's funny how certain things can make you realize what you need in life.

Biko

Since I was off from work last Tuesday, I was able to use my time by making a tray of Sweet Sticky Rice (Biko). It was my first attempt to make it since I arrived here in America and I am glad that it turned out fine. I am planning to take culinary classes next summer so I will have more skills that I can used to be a better wife for my husband and to be the best mother in the future.

By the way, I have included the picture above and I will share the complete recipe later today at my other site Kusina Inato. Thank you for all your visits everyone!

My Sisters Are Single

Good afternoon everyone! Another hot day in Texas and I am more than anxious for fall season to start later this month. I just arrived from an interesting day at school especially that one of my professors decided to postpone our exam next week and have it by the 23rd of this month. I am more than happy to hear this good news because it means that I will have plenty of time to study my other class in preparation for our first exam.

By the way, hubby and I went to one of our favorite Mexican Restaurant here and got their special menu for today. Hubby got the Chicken Enchiladas and I got Chicken Flautas. Overall the food was great and I really like the people that manage the restaurant because they are really nice and friendly. After we are done eating we went directly to the bank and cash my check.

Well, hubby was driving our car I received a call from my father-in-law telling us if we can drop by at their house today to pick up some groceries that they purchase for us and some presents from my husband's grandparents. I told my in-laws that we are running out of time for today since hubby still needs to go back to his place of work.

On the other hand, while I was checking my email just a few minutes ago; my sister sent me an email telling that she just recently joined the asian singles meeting. I am thrilled to hear this great news and I am crossing my fingers that she will eventually find the love of her life.

Bedroom Sets

My husband had invited me to go with him at the mall because he was looking for a dress shirt and tie to be worn during his grandparent's golden anniversary this month. I am more than excited to suggest him some great colors that compliment his skin.

Mine you; I don't like to go shopping for long hours because I get tired easily especially when there's a lot of customer in the store. Anyways, while hubby was in the fitting room I decided to go around the store and I went to check the Bedroom Furniture section. I found a lot of great deals that they offer this week and I wish I have the budget to purchase any of the items that I like. I found a lovely king size bed, a chest drawer and huge wall mirror. Well, I decided to go back to the fitting room otherwise I will be there wishing that I can bring those bedroom furniture's back home.

I better go to sleep folks because I have a lot of things waiting to be taken care later today!

Stainless Steel

I am truly blessed to have found such a great friend by the name of Ophelia to whom I treasured her friendship and trust so much. I am more than thankful for my husband for being patient and kind to look for new friends for me so I will not get homesick when I first enter the United States of America last 2006.

Well, my friendship with Ophelia became stronger when I became her son's Godmother (Ninang) and my husband as Godfather (Ninong) last July of this year. Actually, Ophelia and her husband Todd were recently approved to become a first time house owner and they are preparing to leave their apartment later this month.

While scanning the web today, I am thrilled to have found this wonderful website called The Stainless Steel Store that offers a very modernize, hip and trendy gadgets that are perfect items to be used in your house such as blomus stainless steel mailboxes, stainless steel soap, blomus stainless steel pinwheel, stainless steel matte tape dispenser, blomus stainless steel polished waste basket and many more.

Since both Ophelia and her hubby likes to drink coffee and hot tea all the time, I have decided to purchase this beautiful stainless steel matte tea cup to be given during their house warming party next month. By the way, I have included a picture below so you will see how gorgeous it is.

Swamp People

I was very impressed to watch a few episodes of Swamp People on History Channel today. They are people who lives or make their livelihood through the swamps of Louisiana. They are also known as the Cajun people because of their flavorful cuisine, lively music and its famous culture.

The show follows different group of people who lives on the swamps of Louisiana who hunt alligators for a living. I am really amaze with the show because it will give you a glimpse of how beautiful Louisiana is and how skillful are the people who fish or hunt for alligator.

I will definitely follow the show and I am even thinking of purchasing their videos in the future.

Social Media

How was your labor weekend everyone? Actually, my experienced this year was great in the sense that my husband's family came to spend their time with us. We went to the movies yesterday and also went shopping with them. I feel really good today after a long day at school.

By the way, I was supposed to work tonight but I was able to ask my colleague to work for my shift because hubby wanted to spend time with me. Anyways, we are going to visit our godson Jaden tonight since they needed our help to pack their things for their big move to their new home in the East side part of town. Fel and Todd are schedule to move in their new house this coming 23rd of September.

My husband and I were both delighted that they will be staying here for awhile before heading back to Kentucky in the future. Well, I also needed to read my book for my political science class tonight for my upcoming exam next week which covers 5 chapters of the book and 5 maps using the atlas.

My sister-in-law wanted me to check this Social Media Agency that her friend mentions to her. Perhaps, she wanted to be more sociable in the future?

Flower Boxes

How's your weekend so far folks? Well, to tell you the truth my weekend is a little hectic not only that I have relatives on my husband's side visiting us for the Labor Day weekend but also I have to feed a total of 10 people. I am glad that my husband is always there to help me.

Tomorrow after church we are planning to grill some steaks, hot links, hot dogs and sausage. We will do the cook out at my father-in-law's house. Afterward,  we will be helping them put the garden window boxes at my husband's grandparent's house as well as putting the rest of the window boxes at their respective places.

By the way, I have posted a few weeks ago about my father-in-law ordering window flower boxes online through Window Box Planters online store. He had told me that the products arrived yesterday. Well,  he ordered a few of the black window boxes just like the picture that you will see above.

If you are interested about getting different window boxes please visit any of the following links above.

Promote and Advertise

I just receive a phone call right now from my nephew on my husband's side. They are actually driving from out of town and they will be spending the night over at my other sister-in-law's house. Anyways, my nephew Justin told me that they drop by tomorrow to spend time with his Uncle Tony which is my husband and spend the rest of the weekend with us.

Earlier today, I have a talked with my employer and they were discussing about hiring an Advertising Agency that will handle all their advertisement and promotional event in the future. I have a little bit of idea why businesses around the country hire their own advertising agency. One purpose of hiring an advertising agency is to promote their business to all their clients. It will also help the business stand out from other businesses that offer the same product or niche. On the other hand, picking an advertising agency is very crucial because you will either reap a positive outcome or your business venture will be a waste of money, time and effort.

By the way, That Advertising Agency is an online advertising agency that helps thousands of clients across the United States of America to achieve their goal of success in the business world today. They are known for their motto which is "ensuring their clients to be always happy".

That Advertising Agency combines the old techniques of promoting your business to all consumers out there and adapt to a more sophisticated trend today which is embracing a mixed media marketing strategy.

Lawman with Steven Seagal Returning for Second Season

Hello folks, I was checking my email when I read an article about Steven's Seagal show called Lawman who is returning for second season this coming October 6 on A&E channel. It makes me really excited to watch the show again because he is one of my favorite action stars.

Actually, the show titled Lawman with Steven Seagal follows the life of the action star as reserve deputy sheriff in Jefferson, Parish, La. The scene of the shows is pretty awesome. I am looking forward for the premiere of the second season.

Fitness Card

Good evening everyone! I bet everyone is already sleeping as of this time. Well, I just got out from my place of work and hubby is inviting me to go out tonight to visit our favorite wing place here in town. Actually, the wing place is having their Thursday special for their boneless wings. We usually just go there by ourselves and order four flavors of wings such as Garlic Parmesan, Asian Spicy, Mild and Lemon Pepper and of course a side order of French fries.

I am glad that my second week of school is over and I am looking forward to finish another 14 weeks of school with an A on both of my classes. My professor today in History was kind enough to return our short paper assignment earlier today and I am very happy that I got an 8.50 grade on my paper out of 10.0 rates. I owe a big thank you to my wonderful husband for helping me edit my work before I had passed it last Tuesday.

Well, a former colleague visited the store today and handed us a bunch of fitness business cards. I actually did not recognize him at first because he totally look different compared when he was still working with us.

Date Night

I am having fun watching Date Night movie together with my husband. The leading actor and actress are Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Well, I think the movie is great so far hopefully it will have a happy ending. Anyways, I can't believe that it is already September and Christmas season is getting closer.

Happy evening everyone!

Are you judging for some Judy?

Last time I checked there were more then ten courtroom shows on direct tv. With so many TV judges out there who do you choose. If you like someone who holds nothing back and speaks her mind then Judge Judith Sheindlin is the gal for you, she is the Queen of daytime courtroom television. Judge Judy is ideal to watch for those of us who are old enough to remember Judge Wapner who made Peoples Court famous.

If she is a bit more loud then you you like then Judge Penny Brown might be more your type. She is known to be more personable and friendly as well. When she addresses her court room there is something soothing to the tone of her voice and she almost makes you feel warm inside.

Maybe you prefer something like a Legal Drama. These types of shows take a legal story out of the headlines and put a bit of there own spin on it. It is the perfect mixture of reality televison and legal eagle type of drama. Either way you go you cant go wrong.

Workout for Your Brains

I am glad that I have read this article that talks about brain workouts from the Bottom Line Health today because I feel like as I am getting older it seems that my brain is not functioning so well compared when I was younger especially when I need to memorize something for my class assignment or when I have an exam. Here are the lists of the best brain workout:

  • Regular Exercise or Aerobic Exercise- it helps to increase blood flow to your brain that helps to improve oxygen delivery for your brain and cell function.
  • Turning off the TV- based on a study people with Alzheimer's disease tend to watch more TV and they were less active both physically and mentally when they reach their middle age years.
  • Not using your GPS- in these way you are helping your brain to practice remembering things like the route you are going and it will help boost your brain's problem solving skills as well as spatial awareness skills.
  • Do math in your head- I usually do these skills when I do grocery shopping and actually there is a benefit to it and that is helping to exercise the part of the brain that manipulates object and distribute sensory information to different part of your body.
  • Prepare new recipes- trying new recipes or ingredients helps your brain to focus on organizing, planning and problem solving skills.
  • Fix things at home, learn new musical instruments, assemble new furniture- it will help exercise part of the brain for motor control, balance and of course muscle coordination.
