I received another sweater from my husband which he purchased from Aeropostale. My hubby also gave a bunch of different lotions from Victoria Secret and I also received a gift from my sister-in-law Carleen. My Christmas this year was pretty awesome and we are so ready to get out from here and enjoy the tropical weather in the Philippines. I purchased 3 video games for my husband for Christmas and his sister Carleen gave him 4 different movies.

Gosh one more day and we will be up in the air for awhile! I don't even want to sleep anymore, I am that excited.

It's a Happy Jolly Christmas

We just arrived from our short trip to Las Cruces, New Mexico not too long ago. The purpose why my husband and I went there is to borrow the big luggage that my sister-in-law owns. I thought it would be an hour or two drive but we end up meeting with his other sisters who also lived at a neighboring block.

We meet up with Michelle, Carleen and Jolleen and we had dinner at Michelle's house. She was cooking chicken strips, homemade fries and salads. The only sister that wasn't there was Priscilla who was the oldest among five children and the baby among them is my husband and the only "boy".

After dinner we were just talking and they were asking about our trip next week. My husband and I was very surprise when Michelle told us that she will give her Christmas gift for us in a form of check. She then writes as a check and wow I can't believe the amount she give us (it is a pretty good amount). Carleen also give her gifts for us and she told us not to open yet.

My hubby and I are looking forward to check our gifts this Christmas Eve. We will be celebrating our Christmas with my in-laws.

Dinner at Famous Dave!

We really had a wonderful time together with one of my sister-in-law Carleen and her son Caleb who was visiting my Dad-in-law from out of town. After I got out from work I met up with them to have our family dinner at the Famous Dave here in El Paso, Texas. My husband drove to the restaurant right away after getting out from work.

I order the rib tips and hubby order their famous brisket. The food was very delicious and we stay there for about an hour or so. After we finished eating we went to the east side part of the city to check the beautiful Christmas lights on the neighborhood. Oh the Christmas lights were fabulous and my little nephew Caleb was amazed with the lighting and stuff.

Chicken-Broccoli Casserole with Shredded Cheese

I have been cooking a lot lately since school is over for now. The spring semester will start in January 21, 2010 so I am just taking things in stride. I work an eight hour shift today and was little bit tired after I come home but my husband requested me to cook his favorite dish called "Chicken-Broccoli Casserole with shredded cheese on top. He purchased the ingredients last night which is great because I just need to cook it right away.

Actually, this is one of his many favorite dishes that his Mom used to cook for him while she was still around. In fact, this is the first dish that I'd learned after my first year here in El Paso, Texas. I am glad that I was able to master it because I know he misses his Mom a lot.

Chicken Caldereta

Yesterday I had a lot of time to cook because my husband and I were off from work. I was cooking Chicken Caldereta which is one of the many favorite dishes that my husband likes to eat. Caldereta is a popular viand or dish in the Philippines and it is usually cook with goat meat or beef meat. You can also use chicken meat for a change or either way they still taste the same. My husband was also baking pineapple pie and it turns out delicious as well.

I got paid today at work and I will need to get a couple of money orders so we can pay our utility bills before going on our 3 weeks trip next week. Oh by the way, I also included a picture of my Chicken Caldereta that I cooked last night.

I love my Mandarin Oranges!

I just woke up right now and I feel very hungry. Instead of eating the left over that we had last night I decided to eat oranges. Final Week is over, 3rd Wedding Anniversary Celebration coming up!

My final week of exams is over; I feel relieve for now and I am just waiting for my final grade for my two classes. Last night, my husband and I went to Logan's Steak House in El Paso and wow the food was super delicious. I order a half a portion of their barbecue ribs and my husband order the grilled chicken. We were celebrating in advance our 3rd Wedding Anniversary on the 15th. We are just happy that our plan this year was pushed through.

I am starting to pack some of our things and presents for our flight on the 28th. I just need to clean and organize our apartment before we go. Anyways, I will be back in my regular posting next week or so. Thank you for the visit!

I can't believe that Edward Fatu "Umaga" who is also famous for being "The Samoan Bulldozer" died of heart attack in Houston, Texas. Hello It's Me

I just barely arrived from work right now and I am experiencing a really bad sore throat today. I guess I've been drinking a lot of cold beverages or eating a lot of sweets. I need to go in a little bit to purchase a sore throat medicine at Walgreen's.

Anyways, I need to clean the kitchen because I forgot to put the dishes away this morning before I went to work. I am planning to cook beef stew soup since it's been pretty cold lately and the weather forecast says that it will snow again tonight.

Got My First Christmas Present

During the Black Friday sale at Best Buy my father-in-law decided to purchase an HP laptop which was part of the biggest price drop during that said event. The original price of the HP laptop he purchased at Best Buy was $549.99 and they sold it for $197.99 excluding the warranty during the Black Friday event. He told me at first that he will get the laptop for me and just paid him whenever we have enough money to do so.

We went to a Thanksgiving trip with two of my sister-in-laws and their family and I wasn't really expecting that my father-in-law will woke up early in the morning for the Black Friday sale. Wednesday is Our Movie Night!

We had a Blast!

I captured this wonderful picture of the "Rocky Mountains" of Colorado on our way home to Grants, New Mexico. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and all the areas in the mountains are covered with snow flakes. I really have a lot of fun with my husband's family because they took us shopping in the little town of Durango, Colorado. I am glad that my boss gave me a short break from work.
