In my case I usually go online before I go to work and after I arrive from work. I also go online before I go to bed or when I am not watching TV in the living room. But I spend time online especially if my family is online because I chat with them or do voice chatting online. It is a form of communication for me to my family back in the Philippines. When I'm online I check my emails, upload pictures or upload music and many more. There are plenty of things you can do online from buying products online or selling things online.
I also make sure that before I am stuck on the internet; I do my chores and the food is ready so when my husband comes home we will just heat up the food and eat.
