Happy Birthday Hon, I Love You!

Today is a very special day for us because my husband is celebrating his 32nd birthday. Last night after I got out from my place of work I surprised my husband with the Resident Evil theme cake that I had ordered from my boss last week. Thankfully, he was thrilled and happy to see his favorite video game on his birthday cake. Also, my in-laws are inviting us for lunch. As a matter of fact, they are preparing some pot roast, homemade nachos and my husband's step mother baked him a double chocolate fudge cake for his birthday as well. Preparing for My Husband's Birthday

I can't believe that my husband is turning 32 years old this coming Sunday, the 22nd of September. My husband and I have known each other for over 13 years now and we have been married for almost 7 years this year. It just felt like yesterday when I first started chatting with him online. Anyways, I ordered a theme cake from my boss last week for my husband's birthday. Since my husband is a huge fan of Resident Evil video games, I decided to order a cake that will showcase the beauty of the game. I can't wait to see his reaction when the cake will be delivered this Saturday. I know that he will be so happy and surprise plus he didn't know that I am not working the day of his birthday! Peach Refrigerator Cake

My husband and I have been grilling a lot lately. For instance, last week I made this delicious Peach Refrigerator Cake as our dessert. What I love about this dessert is that it is easy to make and the ingredients are cheap. No baking needed which is perfect for any busy mother out there. Plus, I made two bowls of this dessert; one for me and hubby and one for my colleagues at my place of work. Let me know what you think of this picture below.

Tres Leches Cake

I am so happy that I've been learning to cook a lot of Mexican dish and dessert these past days; and I am grateful for my Step-Dad in law for teaching me everything. He is indeed a great teacher and my dear husband has been really grateful that I'm trying my best to learn all the dishes that he likes to eat. Bundt Cake

Well, I spent most of my day with my husband's Step Dad and Step Uncle because he worked earlier today. While I was staying at his house and waiting for my time to go at my place of work, my husband's Step Dad and Step Uncle surprised me by baking some fresh Bundt cake which is an early Christmas gift from them. I was really speechless because they told me that they are making a few cakes for their neighborhood Christmas party earlier this evening but it was actually for me and my husband. I am thankful for them because they have treated me so well since the day I arrived in America. I feel bless to have them as my closest family here. Take a look at the picture above!

Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Frosting

Last week, I decided to bake a Strawberry Cake which I covered with strawberry frosting for my colleagues at work. It was our last Friday before lent is over and I am very happy that all my colleagues loved it and they devoured everything. It was also a perfect time to celebrate the birthday celebration of our General Manager. Actually, I totally forgot about it but I am glad that I was able to bring something. My Husband Bakes

I feel so weak today because I have flu and I can't even taste the food that I eat which really sucks. My husband was very kind and he bakes this cake for me called Pineapple Upside Down. Honestly, when I am sick I get so picky when it comes to food and hubby is trying to see if he can encourage me to at least eat a little. I just hope I feel better so I can go to church tomorrow. I am lucky that I can always count on my man. I love you honey!
