Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my readers across the globe. It has been four months since I left El Paso, Texas and moved into a small town called Beeville which is also located in Texas. Life here is quite different that what I got used too while living back in El Paso. Beeville is very peaceful town, everyone knows everyone and there's nothing much to do here over the weekend. My spouse and I normally spend our weekend either in San Antonio or Corpus Christi.
Mind you, we get homesick almost everyday because we don't really have any friends that we can visit here or hang out with. Anyways, I am glad to tell you that we are surviving and we are doing just fine. Hubby has been teaching for over five months and so far so good. He is thinking of renewing his contract but he isn't sure if he will push-through with the plan. One thing we don't like about living here is the drive from here to El Paso. The drive is what kills us especially when we visit El Paso for special occasion or when we have time off from school. The drive back and forth is a total of 20 hours.
We spent our Thanksgiving in El Paso and we stayed for a week. We had so much fun with families both in Las Cruces and El Paso. Three weeks later, we had another two weeks time off from school for Christmas and New Year. By the way, I am working for the same school district that my husband got hired as a teacher. I work as a substitute teacher for all school level but I normally worked at the high school where my spouse is a teacher. The job itself is very challenging compared to what I am used to in El Paso. I deal with teenagers and they can be very difficult to get along at times. I have to follow protocols and make sure that all the instructions from their respective teachers are followed.
Honestly, we never stop praying that one day we can go back to El Paso and settle there for good. I love El Paso and considered it my second home after the Philippines. I hope and pray that everyone will have a better year this year and that may our goals will come true. God bless us all and until next time. See you around!!!!!

Visiting Four Cities in Texas
My husband and I had a blast during our road trip vacation last week. As a matter of fact, we visited more cities in Texas compared to our previous trip. We visited San Antonio, Houston, Corpus Christi and Pearland Texas. Our trip was short but we had so much fun.
By the way, one of the many highlights of our trip is to visit the newly opened Jollibee branch in Houston, Texas. It is the most popular fast-food chain in the Philippines which is comparable to McDonald's. I haven't had any food from Jollibee since I last visited Philippines in 2010. I almost cried when I entered the store and saw the menu. It reminds me fond memories I have with my family back home.
Other than that, we also get a chance to hang out with my husband's Uncle and his family in Pearland, Texas which is about 20-40 minutes away from Houston. Uncle Edward is an established lawyer in Houston and in fact he works as a Judge there. We stayed there for one night at their gorgeous looking home. They welcome us with so much love and excitement which is really cool. His wife Aunt Debbie made dinner and breakfast for us. My husband's cousins are so friendly and kind. We are so thankful for them and looking forward to see them again next time.
Also, we went to visit the beach in Corpus Christi and we went to the River Walk as well in San Antonio. We always adore these two cities in Texas and it is good to be back after two years of not able to come back there.
Anyways, take a look at these gorgeous pictures below. I hope everyone is having a great evening and a great week.

Highlights During Our Visit at Sea World San Antonio, Texas
Our Spring break vacation is finally over and I am returning to work tomorrow at my place of work as well as dear husband too. We are so happy that our plans came along and we have a fabulous time together while visiting San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Texas for six days. It was indeed worth our time off from our places of work. Hubby and I are planning to save some money so we can take another vacation for our six wedding anniversary later this year.
Anyways, I have uploaded some of my favorite pictures from our visit at the Sea World in San Antonio, Texas. Take a look below and enjoy!

Finally in San Antonio, Texas
Good morning folks, I would like to tell each one of you that dear hubby and I finally arrived in San Antonio, Texas after a grueling 8 hour drive on the road. We were fortunate that both hubby and I were able to take some time off from our places of work together. By the way, we both loved to travel and since I haven't been to San Antonio since I arrived here in 2006; we finally decided to take the plunge. The bad side though is that the weather is not cooperating with us. It has been raining all day and it looks like the weather forecast will be the same for the rest of the week. Hopefully, we will still be able to push through with our plans. Anyways, I hope everyone will have a great weekend.

Relocated to Texas
The Author of this post is Solomon Dejesus
My husband and I recently relocated to Texas to be closer to his family, and we couldn’t be happier here. Compared to our last state, Texas is so wide open, and the people are so friendly. We love it. We’ve taken in both of my in-laws, both of whom are having some health issues. While we all love having them so close, it does come with some additional expenses that really start to add up! They’re both on fairly priced medications, and the frequent doctor’s bills are starting to take their toll on us. We’ve started searching for ways to save money and were fortunate enough to discover shop electricity rates Texas. Texas is one of the few states that has a deregulated energy industry, so we have the ability to shop around to discover the lowest priced provider. It’s such a huge relief to know that we have a little cushion in our budget now—I can’t believe how much we were overpaying every month to heat and cool our home! We have put all of that money into a college fund for our children. I can’t imagine the money going to a better use.

Dentists in San Antonio
If you are looking for a great cosmetic dentist in the San Antonio area there are many places where you can go to but the best place is CDA or Cosmetic Dental Associates. CDA is one of the best places for San Antonio Dentistry because they offer many services, such as Invisalign, that no one else in the San Antonio area. In case you were wondering, Invisalign are braces which are clear. Besides Invisalign, CDA also offers other procedures including whitening, veneers, cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, and much more. CDA is headed by Dr. John Moore who is also an orthodontics expert and has been practicing cosmetic dentistry in San Antonio for over 25 years. Even more, Dr. John Moore was also voted into America’s Top Dentists in Cosmetic Dentistry and has been named the best Cosmetic Dentist in San Antonio, so this really does say a lot. I also like the fact that you can see pictures of people who visited CDA before and after they received cosmetic dentistry, and I have to say, I am really impressed with the great job that CDA has done. So why not check out what Cosmetic Dental Associates have to offer at 33Smile dot com, you will definitely be glad you checked them out.

Two days ago, I had the chance to check out some souvenir items at one of the souvenir places here in my city. I was thrilled to have found some great items which I can barter for anyone out there who likes to collect postcards, key chain, shot glasses and more. I purchased 12 postcard including three map cards of Texas. I have uploaded below one of my favorites map cards. Check it out!

Meeting a New Filipina Friend in Texas
My dear hubby and I had such a long day today. He did work a few hours at his place of work earlier this morning and on the other hand, I was off from work. While waiting for him to arrive from his place of work I decided to clean our little abode for a little bit before getting ready to meet up with him for a brunch. Well, after that we headed back home and took our little naps before taking off once again to pick my check and go to the bank and cashed it. By the way, my place of work doesn't offer direct deposit which literally sucks because it takes a little bit of my time away.
After cashing my check at the bank, we drove right away to visit my newly found friend who also happens to be from the Philippines. She is actually from Cebu, Philippines which was really cool because I am from a neighboring island called Bohol. Well, we arrived there about five and my new found friend by the name of Joanne wanted me to teach her how to cook some new Filipino dishes. I feel honored that she wanted to learn it from me and we decided to cook together while both our husband were in the living just relaxing and waiting for dinner. I made three kinds of dishes such as bake chicken, pork steak with pineapple chunks and Filipino style fried chicken and pork chops. The end result was fantastic and I am more than happy to know that they like what I cook for them. Anyways, after eating our dinner we head back to the living room and we had our karaoke singing session. It was fun and I am really happy to have found newly found couple who are really nice people. We are looking forward to spend time with them again plus meeting new Filipino friends around their neighborhood. Good night y'all!

General Spring Cleaning
I really like cleaning very much and I actually need to clean the carpet of my apartment and I need to find a place where I can get high quality service. Tacos
I am very happy today because I was able to go to one of the best Mexican restaurants that we have here in Texas, called Chi'hua. Chi'hua happens to have some of the best tacos in town, such as Tacos al Pastor, Carne Asada, Tripitas and much more. For many of you who are not familiar with tacos, al Pastor, is a pork meat taco which is usually served with pineapple and cilantro and is quite delicious. Carne Asada tacos are made of marinated steak and Tripitas are actually made of pork intestines. I know many of you must be thinking to yourselves, "that doesn't sound good", but once you try then you will love them. Today I ordered the tacos made with tripitas while my husband ordered the carne asada, and our meals also had delicious beans and a baked potato topped with cheese. Of course no taco is complete without hot sauce, and Chi'hua serves tacos with a red chile hot sauce, Chipotle sauce, and pico de gallo, my personal favorite is pico de gallo while my husbands favorite is Chipotle.
