July 4th Wedding!

My husband and I had the opportunity to witness the second wedding of my sister-in-law Carleen last month with my new brother-in-law Dan. The theme of their wedding is Fourth of July since it falls through the same day when all Americans celebrate this special day. They requested all their guests to wear a red, white or blue dress during their wedding day celebration. We have so much fun celebrating this special occasion with my husband's side of the family as well as relatives from across the state. Below are some of the photos taken during their Fourth of July wedding! Congratulations again!

Preparing for My Husband's Birthday

I can't believe that my husband is turning 32 years old this coming Sunday, the 22nd of September. My husband and I have known each other for over 13 years now and we have been married for almost 7 years this year. It just felt like yesterday when I first started chatting with him online. Anyways, I ordered a theme cake from my boss last week for my husband's birthday. Since my husband is a huge fan of Resident Evil video games, I decided to order a cake that will showcase the beauty of the game. I can't wait to see his reaction when the cake will be delivered this Saturday. I know that he will be so happy and surprise plus he didn't know that I am not working the day of his birthday! I'll be posting his birthday photos soon. Have a great weekend folks!

Happy 58th Birthday Papi!

Yesterday was a special day for my family back home in the Philippines because my father celebrated his 58th birthday with friends and family. We had a surprise birthday celebration with my Dad and I am glad that me and my husband were able to make the party happened. I sent my mother a bit of money to plan the celebration which included cooking a whole roasted pig and other dishes during my Dad's birthday celebration. There are many reasons why we made a huge birthday celebration for my Dad's birthday; one reason was because my Dad has had a bad health condition for over two years and recently his health has been progressing. We are also happy that my father is with the family once again after staying in the hospital for a long time.

I was excited for him and that is why I didn't care if I have to wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning yesterday which is 6 o'clock in the evening (Philippine time). I stay up for 3 hours to Skype with my family and friends and to witness the celebration. I was tired the whole while I was at my place of work but it was all worth it. Check out some of the pictures during my Dad's birthday celebration in the Philippines.

Cheesecakes and Birthdays

I had a wonderful day yesterday because I was off from work and believe it or not I sleep most of the day which is unbelievable because I don't like to take naps especially when my dear Honey is not around. Well, after he arrived from his place of work we decided to surprise my sister (who isn't really blood related to me but I call her my older sister in the US) since we look a lot. By the way, she is celebrating her 31st birthday. We went to my place of work because she was the closing manager for the night shift. I didn't cook anything but I ordered some Chicken Alfredo pasta from Pizza Hut plus I also ordered some chicken wings. They also included some bread sticks along with the pasta.

I had told one of the girls that work for the night shift that I will be going to the store and she agreed to purchase a sampler cake which consists of cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, pecan cheesecake and strawberry cheesecake. The birthday celebration was indeed a successful one not only that I surprised my hermana (it means sister in Spanish) but everything went through as plan. She is very happy which makes me and my husband happy because she has been really good to me since I met her. Here are some of the photos below including the birthday celebrant with her cheesecake.

Happy 15th Birthday Little Sister

One of my younger sisters was celebrating her 15th birthday last May 27 and I can tell by the photos I've seen online that she had a blast with my family and some of her friends during a little get together party at my parents house in the Philippines. Here are some of the pictures I pick to upload here. But before anything else, I would like to greet her a belated happy birthday from all of us here in Texas and always remember that we love you Jan!

Happy Ten Years Honey!

Ten years ago from today, my now husband and I met each other online. I feel so lucky to have found the love of my life and until now we both cannot believe that we are now happily married for nearly five years and counting. I love my dear husband and I thank God for giving me this opportunity to spend the rest of my life with him.

Fast Forward and December is almost Here!

It feels so good to be back on my blog. I haven't really had the time to update my blogs since January because I have been quite busy. T...
