Meet Our Baby...Our Very Own Chrysler PT Cruiser

So far this year has been the most exciting, full of adventure kind of year. First, was my trip to New York earlier this year and second of all is getting a NEW CAR; yup that's right folks a NEW CAR. I couldn't believe it until now. I got my baby since April the 30th and wow miracles do happened when you least expect it.

We have been having car problems since December and the last straw was around the first week of April. We probably spend a couple of thousands of money just to have our old car fix. The problem is that my spouse had a hard time letting go of his things. He always tries to fix what he thinks is fixable till the very end. Finally, I told him that I would not spend any of my hard earned money for a car that has been giving us problem for the longest time.

Anyway, to make the story short, we ended up car shopping and got our baby at a dealership around the city where we reside. When we saw this beautiful looking Chrysler PT Cruiser we both fell in love with the same car. It was love at first sight; thankfully our bank agreed to finance our car and everything fall into place. I am thankful for my father-in-law for helping us pick the car and getting us tips on what to look for a new car.

The ironic part is that my husband deceased mother had wanted to own one like the one we have in the same exact color. It really felt good knowing that she is actually watching over us and helping us find the perfect car for us. It was a dream come true and it means a lot to me and my spouse because this is our first major purchased together as a couple.

Tire, Work and So Forth

Today was such a long day and I am glad it's over. I don't have any class today but as usual I get up early. I was about to drive our car when I noticed that one of the tires were flat. DH and I ended up going to a tire company and asked them to look at it.

Obviously, the tire needs air but we were shock to find out that a nail got stuck there. We were waiting for an hour while they are fixing the tire. The guy who checked out our car told us that we needed to purchase new tires for our car. It will cost us about $320 including the warranty and the tire rotation. I told my husband, that we will do that as soon as I get my pay check from my place work.

After that, we met up with Ango (my husband's Step Dad) for lunch and we head home right away. I took a nap for 20 minutes and I got up to work. I barely arrived from my place of work not too long ago and I am so tired right now. Though my husband wanted to watch the midnight screening of Silent Hill, I told him that I can't since all I really want to do is to get some rest and sleep. I still have to close tomorrow night and open Saturday morning at my place of work. I can't wait for Sunday to come because that's only my day off plus my husband and I can be feed spiritually.

I wish everyone to have a safe and happy weekend! Good night and God Bless You All.

Ruby's Car Runs Out of Gas!

Early morning everyone, DH and I just came back from helping a friend who was stranded outside our apartment. Her car did not want to start because she runs out of gas. According to her, when the engine runs out of gas her car battery also die. I felt really bad because I didn't know that she was still there outside my apartment. She dropped me off from our place of work because DH borrowed my car.

I am glad that she was alright and that DH and I were able to help her jump start her car. She finally drove about 30 minutes ago. Hopefully, her car won't mess up anymore.

Vehicle Problem

While hubby was driving our car on our way home from my place of work, our car just made a weird noise and stop completely. We have no choice but to contact his Dad so he can give us a ride home. Before going home, my father in law and my husband decided to stop by at the car shop where they usually do maintenance on our car and told them what happen. The owner of the shop told my husband and my father in law that he will tow the car tomorrow so they can take a look at it and see if the problem can be fixed. I am hoping that it won't be too much because it was not too long ago that I have posted an article about having problem with our car. We already spent a lot of money fixing that old car and I can't wait to shop for cars this fall.

Another Hurdle.. What's Next?

After we finished grocery shopping at Walmart last night the car that we are using doesn't want to start. My husband told me not to panic or anything but of course nobody wants to be stranded in the middle of the night. Anyways, we tried over and over again but it won't just start. We finally decided to call a taxi cab to take us home and left the car there.  Since we have another car park in our apartment complex we decided to go back to Walmart to try and jump start the car using a jumper cable. Anyways, it didn't work; one of the security guard on duty helps us and checks if what was wrong with our car. He concluded that it is not the battery but it might be starter. Though my husband and I don't want to leave our other car at Walmart we have no choice but to go home without it.

Anyways, my husband is at Walmart right now and waiting for the towing guys to tow the car back home. Our usual mechanic man that fixes our car is not available today so we have to wait until Monday. It is very frustrating but I tried to look on the bright side. Besides that, we still have one other car that we can use while waiting for that other car to get fixed. We are planning to purchase a car in the Fall so hopefully we can sell that car ones it get fixed. Things just happen when you least expect it.

Unexpected Blessing!

We got a big surprised today courtesy of my father-in-law. He told my husband to pick up his blue 2001 Chevy because he wants to give it to us. We were really ecstatic and I was tempted to take a picture of my husband because he was jumping for joy upon hearing this good news. It was indeed a wonderful gift since we were actually planning to purchase another car for myself.

By the way, my father-in-law owns a couple of big trucks and cars. My husband never expected that his Dad will give any of his cars for free. The car is in great condition with complete accessories such as CD player, new interior design, and loud speaker.

I am really thankful for my in-laws for having a big heart for my husband and myself. Thank you Dad! Well, folks we got the car and hubby will test drive it tonight.

Fast Forward and December is almost Here!

It feels so good to be back on my blog. I haven't really had the time to update my blogs since January because I have been quite busy. T...
