My Education Continues

I was checking my planner today and I can't believe that we are already entering the month of August this Sunday. Classes for me will start on the twenty-three of August and will end by December second later this year. I am very anxious on meeting my new professors as well as my classmates. I am taking my second bachelors degree in Psychology and let me tell you something it is far different that the first degree that I already earned from the Philippines.

I earned my first Bachelors degree in Banking and Finance at Holy Name University in the Philippines before I moved here in the United States last 2006. Since my husband and I do not have kids yet, I decided to take another course in Psychology since fall 2009.

Frankly speaking, I quite enjoy the course and I am looking forward to get my second bachelor's this coming spring 2011. By the way, my cousin told me to check window replacement San Antonio later this week.

Well, how's your Friday so far people?

Watermelon

One of our favorite fruits to eat during summer is watermelon. Watermelon is a great source for water, vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, protein, sodium, carbohydrates, calcium, magnesium and a lot more. I always love to buy watermelon because it is affordable.

Well, here are some great secret so you can enjoy your watermelon for a longer time. If you just purchase a watermelon today then make sure to put in the refrigerator but don't wrap it. Make sure to consume the watermelon in two weeks. If the watermelon is already slice or cut, be sure to wrap it tight on a plastic bag. Then refrigerate to prevent the watermelon from drying. Eat the already cut watermelon within four days.

Welcome Home Grandma

I am chatting with my mother about two hours ago and she told me that my grandma is temporarily staying at our house. She will turn seventy-six year old later this year but she is quite a handful for her age. She likes to go for long walks but my Mom is worried since she had incidents before were she had fallen and nobody was there to help her stand up.

Well, everyone is excited that she is back at home because they want to take care of her as much as possible. She had been the best great grandma you could ever ask for though she had her moments too. She is strict to some extent but she loves you unconditionally. She likes to eat plenty of vegetables and fish. Her hobbies include gardening, sewing, cooking, hiking and swimming.

By the way, I am thinking of checking this hermle clock I saw on the web. Anyways, it's time to get some sleep. Happy weekend blogger land!

Deviled Eggs

I will make deviled eggs this coming weekend for the first time. I have never tried this before but it is actually more appropriate during Easter egg hunting. Well, it looks delicious to me since my boss shows me some pictures that she took last Easter Sunday. Anyways, I hope it will taste really good so I can make it next Easter.
By the way, I got the picture from Google image.

I planned my wedding online!

I got married last summer and avoided unneeded stress and anxiety by doing much of my planning online! With my satellite internet that I got by looking for hughesnet deals, I was able to find vendors, venues, dresses, shoes and favors very quickly! I am very busy with school and a full-time job, and although I wanted to plan my dream wedding-I also wanted to plan it both quickly and economically. I started my search by finding a venue, and once secured I was able to also find a caterer, a baker, narrowed down my dress search, cake designs and what I wanted to do for favors. I ordered my invitations and thank cards online, and also all of my postage and shipping materials. I made all of my gift registries online and didn't have to go into stores and use the crazy laser gun!

My fiance is an active duty marine, so finding venues, tuxes and other items online enabled us to have him participate fully in the planning as well. He was able to look at all the venues with me, and we chose a location we both loved-without having to go on numerous tours and visits. I also was able to find his tuxedo online, and he was able to chose the design for his and his groomsmen entirely online.

I also found several websites that allowed me to manage my to-do lists, guest lists, and registries. I am proud to say that the internet was my wedding planner on the most special day I have had thus far.

Getting Ready for Vacation

Summer time means vacation time, and with that there comes a lot of preparation. During vacation time I want to keep my kids safe. There are a few tips that I can give when it comes to keeping your children safe on vacation. First of all, if you are leaving for vacation and your children are old enough to be home alone make sure you teach them how to use the home security alarm. My husband looked for the best home security in Texas and found a good alarm system. Always make sure they have all the emergency contact information they need. Another great tip is giving a trusted neighbor or family member a spare key to occasionally check up on the children.

If you are taking a family vacation and the children are with you make sure that you take the sunblock with you. Also, if you are going next to the water make sure that you child knows how to swim or has adult supervision at all times.

These little tips can be helpful for any parents that has children, big or small. The summer time is supposed to be filled with fun memories for you and your children, keeping your children safe is one way to ensure you summer will be enjoyable.

Thanks for the post from Kelley Cline

Making My Own Movie!

I am trying to make a slide show video of myself and my husband. It will show in the video when my husband first visited me in the Philippines. It will also include pictures of myself and my husband after I arrived in the United States of America and all the years that have followed.

Well, I still need to add more stuff and effects so the slide show will look more appealing plus more editing. I better get some sleep folks since it is already four in the morning here in Texas.

Blu Ray

Everything has change in many ways. While growing up in a tiny city in the Philippines I used to remember that my Uncle owned the first beta max player in the neighborhood. Eventually, as the years goes by everyone in the neighborhood owned a VHS player. Well, technology evolves and I remember that my mother own our first DVD player in 2000 if I am not mistaken.

After moving from the Philippines to the United States of America, I have notice that a lot of video rental store in the US offers the regular DVD tapes and Blu-ray movies. I truly believe that in the years to come new equipment will be introduce to the public.

I hope everyone will benefit the new gadgets and embrace it. I love the concept of constant change because it only means that there will never be a dull moment in our life. Change is the new concept in our society!

Being Me!

I come to a point that people's opinion doesn't really matter to me anymore. When people see me they usually think that I am somewhat reserved and strict. I remember when I first arrived in the United States of America, the first thing I have in my mind is to find Filipinos and befriend them. I think that was my way of trying not to get home sick but I've learned my lesson the hard way.

The people that I thought were my friend was the one who stabbed me on my back (of course not literally) but they are the one who starts these malicious gossips between me and my husband. I am glad that I was able to get out from their charade and able to move on with my life.

Anyways, after what happened I see the results of the bad things they did to me. It backfired everyone and mine you karma is something else. I learn to forgive but I distance myself from them.

Spice Racks that Rocks!

I feel really blessed to have a wonderful husband who likes to organize our living room, kitchen area and bed room during his days off. I am truly amazed that he can really make our little dwelling place a great place to relax and unwind ourselves especially that it is very hot outside to do some outdoor activities.

Two weeks ago, while hubby was cooking for our dinner, he ask me if where is the spice rack. I then realized that I forgot to mention to him that our spice racks were broken a month ago. Anyways, I was talking to my friend on the phone today as usual who also lives about twenty minutes away from my apartment. She was telling me that she had recently purchase a kitchen spice racks from Spice Rack Source online store and that she was really happy because the product is of good quality. She gave me the website today and I am checking all their products right now and found out that they also sells items such as wall spice rack, mounted spice rack, counter top spice rack, spice rack accessories and many more.

By the way, I have included an image of one of my favorite mounted spice rack from Spice Rack Source for you to see it above.

Headaches

Did you know that heat contributes to 50 percent of your headaches? Well, I was reading this very interesting article from MSN Health about headaches earlier today and how to prevent them during summer season.

3 Types of Headaches
  • Migraine- if you are experiencing really bad migraine it is time for you to talk with your physician. Make sure to ask your physician to test your magnesium levels because too little magnesium in your body will cause inflammation in your blood vessels.
  • Sinus Headache- it causes a lot of pain around your eyes. If you are experiencing sinus headache and want to get rid of it then please follow these simple steps. First, put a damp cloth over your eyes to remove inflammation. Secondly, use a nasal spray to get rid of your congestion. Lastly, to stop nasal inflammation make sure to put HEPA filter in your air condition system to help prevent airborne bacteria, dust and molds.
  • Tension Headache- if you notice that your scalp started to tighten then make sure to take your pain killer medicine right away. Doing everyday exercise helps to stop tension headaches.
Thanks to Google image for the photo.

Business Cards

One of the many things that I learned from working in the food industry close to three years now is that it is important to promote your business at any chance you can. My team decided to distribute cheap business cards to all the clients that come into our business establishment. After a month later, we saw great results after the experimentation was done. Everybody at work was happy and we received great compliments from the company's owner.

School is almost back so it means more business for us especially that we are surrounded with school campuses around the area. I have to admit that we have a lot of competition from other food establishments but I truly believed that if we keep what we are doing to promote our business then we will just do fine. Every other weekend, we also hire FM station disc jockey to host parties outside the store to promote our special introductory products to all our customers and mine you it pays off a lot.

Missing My Ukulele Years!

I've been listening to this wonderful music called Hey Soul Sister by Train. The video makes me go gaga for the song because one of their main musical instruments is ukulele. It reminds me of childhood memories because I used to play ukulele for the school band. I truly miss my ukulele that I left in the Philippines for my other siblings to used it.

By the way, I got the photo from Google image.

Enjoying My Rest Day!

While I was at the mall the other day, I have noticed that they have brand new store display products at every corner of my favorite boutique. My first thought was to purchase my favorite girly stuffs but I told myself in the end that I will save my money on more important things.

By the way, I am trying to save money because I wanted to surprise my parents with a new vehicle that they could use every day to go to school and to work. I have already talked to my former colleague in the Philippines and she told me that I can get a good deal if I purchase this minivan from her Uncle. I am hoping that I can save enough money before the year ends so I can give the vehicle keys to my family by Christmas.

Well, I better get some sleep before attending the church sacrament later today. Happy Sabbath Day folks!

Big Move!

I am flabbergasted because two of my friends will be moving from Germany and Hawaii respectively to reside here in Texas. They are moving because their husband's will be transferred to one of the many military bases in Texas.

Manang is planning to have a big party once her family has settled in their new house. I am really looking forward to spending time with them. Well, I'll be meeting my other friend in person for the first time when they arrive here from Germany.

Bedroom Furniture

My husband and I have been really busy these past weeks because of work and some other recreational activities that we went to. Well, yesterday my husband and I receive another house warming invitation from a good friend from church who recently purchased their first two-story home here in Texas. I feel very happy for them because I know they have so much going on with their life especially that his wife is in remission from being diagnosed with cancer.

By the way, last weekend my husband and I was able to help my friend organized their living room, kitchen area, dining room. While I and my church friend organized their living room area, my hubby and my friend's husband carried their bedroom dressers back to their new master's bedroom. I am glad that we finished everything in two days together with some friends from church as well.

We are much honored to help this wonderful family as much as we can because they are truly an amazing couple who truly love and adore each other despite everything.

Four Seasonings That Will Surely Improve Your Health

I am interested to share this article that I've read at MSNBC about the many benefits of these condiments. Here are the four condiments that actually help maintain our body to be healthy all the time.

Burn

The worst thing that can happen while working as a cook in a restaurant is getting burned. Actually, one of our cooks at work was burn while filtering the cooking machine yesterday evening. He burns his whole right arm and can't even move any of his fingers. My team leader applied the burn ointment and filed a complaint on what happen to him.

I doubt if he will be able to come to work this week. I hope and pray that he will just do fine. By the way, I got the image from Google.

Ward Off Jet Lag By..

If I had known before that I can actually prevent jet lag then I would probably be the first one to apply this precaution. Here are the following lists that I got from listening to DJ Tesh.

  1. Stay Hydrated- during long trips be sure to take time to drink plenty of water or other type of liquids because this will help your kidneys stay out of sleep mode and adapt the new time in the area.
  2. Change your eating habit- if you are looking to have a 13 hour trip or more the best thing you can do is to fast or not eat at all before the day you leave.
  3. Make sure to plan ahead before your trip- make sure to get some rest during the first day that you arrived from a trip this will definitely avoid the feeling of jet lag.
  4. Exercise- please makes sure to take time to exercise when you arrived to your place of destination after your trip. It will help you regain your energy.

A Very Creepy Show

Contribution by Paula Gonzales

When you think of serial killers, what's the first thing that comes to your mind? The answer is most likely a raving madman. The key word there is 'madman.' Notice that word doesn't come in the 'madwoman' version. Is there a reason for this? Probably. There are definitely more male murderers out there than female murders. But I learned very quickly from the show Snapped that there are plenty of female killers out there as well. The difference between them and males is that females will almost always kill their husbands. Comforting, isn't it? This sometimes relates to jealousy due to an unfaithful husband, but most of the time it's for money - life insurance to be exact.

What makes this show even creepier for me is that I watch it with my wife. I get so worked up by the show that I sometimes start asking her questions and making accusations about her future plans. This is a little insane, but the show is that powerful.

My wife and I make it a point to watch Snapped every week on the premium channel we get with out Direct tv deals. We enjoy it very much, but in a strange way. It's almost like we watch it just to confirm that there are people out there with much worse problems than ourselves. So, when things are bad, just watch Snapped. Everything will be put in perspective for you. Oh, and by the way, I don't have life insurance.

Hopia and Empanada Fresh from CA

I receive a package from my aunt who resides in California. She sent me a box of hopia and empanada. I almost passed out there for a second because I haven't had it this type of pastry for awhile now. I ask my husband to try it and I am very happy that he love it especially the empanada with the meat on it.

I am planning to bring some hopia and empanada at work later today so I can let my colleagues try this delicious pastry. I bet they will love it!

Weather Gone Wild

We experienced a heavy rainstorm last Friday. While heading from work to our apartment I saw two vehicles that were caught in a heavily flooded area and the vehicles are unable to move. The passengers have to call the fire department and the ambulance because they were trapped inside their vehicle. I am glad that they were able to get out before something bad happened to them.

Anyways, yesterday was another story it was super hot. I wish that it will be winter soon because I can't stand the heat!

I Love My Weekend!

I have been busy for the past few days due to some issues back home in the Philippines as well as preparing and helping my friend for her baby's christening last Saturday. Well, my friend Mrs. B asked me to prepare 200 sticks of chicken barbecue for the said party. Guess what? It took me 3 hours to finish cooking the chicken barbecue. But I am really happy that I was able to help them especially that Mrs. B's son is my Godson.

I've met plenty of Filipinos who are residing here in Texas and working as teachers in our local school district during the said event. The party went well, there's plenty of leftover food that is why I have so much food in the refrigerator. I have chicken afritada, roasted meat (lechon baboy), meatloaf (embutido), steam rice cake (puto) and many more.

How's your weekend everyone?

Red Raven Nail Polish

I decided to do my pedicure this evening because I have an important event to attend this coming Saturday. I pick this color for my nails because it actually complements my complexion as well as it will look good on the peep shoes that I will wear this weekend.

Well, I always do my pedicure every two weeks unless the color is fading fast. I have all the cleaning tools and about 20 different nail colors to pick from. How about you girls? Do you go to a saloon or do it by yourself?

Drop Here

There is one thing that I have notice since I migrated from the Philippines to permanently reside here in the United States of America. You know what? I have observed that every household here owns a mailbox. I therefore conclude that having your own mailbox is really a necessity in America.

By the way, did you know that dVaultMailboxes is an online store that specializes in selling dvault mailbox across the nation? They offer different dvault mailboxes such as post mount vaults, column vaults, wall mount vaults, dvault accessories and dvault post. I was actually shopping for mailbox since a friend of mine at work is asking me to help her look for one online.

She said that her old mailbox is in need of an upgrade and it is not safe for her important documents to be drop there. I am relieved that I found Dvault Company on the internet today because their prices are way better compared to the ones that my friend had mention to me.

Typhoon Basyang Hit the Philippines!

I was not able to sleep at all last night after I found out that there is a typhoon that hit the Philippines yesterday. Two of my younger sisters who lived in Quezon are without electricity since yesterday and they were not able to go to work due to heavy rains and warning of floods. I am trying to keep in touch with them through telephone so I will know their latest updates over there. I have a hard time concentrating at my place of work because my mind is somewhere else.

I am praying for my sisters safety and for everyone in the Philippines.

Staying in Touch with Family While Following Your Dreams

When people follow their dreams they often move to different parts of the state, country or world, far from their family and friends. Thanks to the Internet I can stay in touch with my family and friends easily, even though I have moved away.

Email is an instant communication that allows me to bypass time zones and contact people when I want to talk to them, without waking them up. A quick hello sent via email in my time zone will be read in their time zone at their convenience. No ringing phones in the middle of the night. When our times do coincide, video talk has been a nice addition to long distance conversations. Sometimes, seeing your loved ones smile is all you need to conquer your homesick feelings.

My hughes satellite internet connection lets me send my notes quickly and move on with life. Email has made the world a smaller place and has enabled me to keep in contact with my friends and family as I follow my dreams, no matter how far away they take me.

This guest post from my friend Archie Surace

Farm Ville and Farm Town Here I Come

I have not been to my Farm Ville account or my Farm town account since I left for my vacation in the Philippines last year. It is amazing that I was able to resist this addictive game for seven months now. I have been busy lately with work and school. I feel really good to be back in the gaming spotlight again. Hopefully, I will be able to plant and harvest my fruits and flowers these weeks to come.

Well, it's time to hit the sack so good night everyone and have a wonderful Tuesday!

Hints that a Person is drowning!

Our swimming pool in the apartment complex has been open for awhile now and I am planning to go swimming tomorrow after work. Well, I have listened to a very interesting topic from DJ Tesh in the radio and he discusses about how to know if a person is getting drown. Here are the following lists:

  1. The person is hyperventilating or gasping for air.
  2. The person's mouth is at water level.
  3. The person's head is tilted back and their mouth is wide open.
  4. The person's eyes are not able to focus.
  5. The person who is drowning normally doesn't use their legs.

My First Home

I'm so excited! I just moved into my first home last week. I need to give a shout out to my parents who let me live in the basement for the past six years while I saved up my down payment. I also have to thank my real estate agent who helped me find an inexpensive foreclosure home and my boss for giving me a day off to move.

I took a month to move in, though, since I had some repairs and fix-ups to do. I also repainted several rooms - whoever thought lime green made a good color for the bathroom should have their heads examined. Based on my dad's suggestion, I signed up for ADT which was installed the day I took possession. Many of the houses in the neighborhood have been foreclosed on and are now empty. Although the crime rate has not gone up, Dad said it isn't safe to be in the neighborhood without back-up. He also thought he should get either a gun or a taser as a home welcoming gift, but I talked him into helping me pick out a dog from our local shelter. I've named him Bruce and although he is big and looks scary, the truth is that he's a wimp. But he makes good company - I can't believe I actually miss living with my parents.

Unconventional Uses of Beer

I don't drink any alcoholic beverages but I am amazed to find out the not so ordinary uses of beer. Here are the following lists I've learn from Discovery Channel.

  • Beer is use to polish gold jewelries- drop all your gold jewelries in a bowl of beer, remove and wipe your jewelries.
  • Bath in Beer- the ingredients of the beer like yeast are great skin softeners. Don't forget to wash lightly with soap.
  • Use beer cans to build a house- there is a house somewhere in New Mexico, USA that is made of alternating beer cans and cement. Beers are good for cold absorptions and it will help minimize energy usage.
  • Fertilize your soil with beer- pour few drops of beer in your soil. The yeast will help your plants grow fast.
  • Use beer to polish your furniture-damp beer in a cloth and rub into your furniture. The beer will bring back your furniture color.
  • Beer is use as stain removal- put beer into the affected area and rinse it well.
  • Use beer to sooth your aching foot. Soak your feet for about fifteen minutes.
  • Use beer to lighten your hair by soaking your hair with beer and lay in the sun. The beer will give beautiful highlights to your hair.
  • Beer is use for beer battered pork or chicken.
  • Use beer to extinguish fire. Shake and spritz it.

Farm Life of my Beloved Uncle

I was checking my account today and I just barely found out that my Uncle Jose whom I fondly call Manoy had posted pictures of him and his family online. Manoy is my Mom's oldest brother who used to work as a chef but now prefers the farm life. They lived in one of the 48 towns in Bohol, Philippines. His wife works as a government employee and they have three children. They actually own several acres of land where he started planting vegetables and fruit trees such as eggplants, tomatoes, bitter melon, pineapples, banana trees and a lot more.

Manoy is one of the closest Uncles and I have a lot of respect on his work ethics. I remember that he used to carry me while growing up since I am the first niece on my mother's side. Anyways, here are some pictures from him.

Let's Play Golf

I was talking to my sister-in-law awhile back and she had been inviting us to go with them to play golf. My sister-in-law's husband and her both love to play golf and they are willing to teach us how to play golf. I have been to a golf course before but I never really tried to play because all I want to do is to observe the players and admire the landscape.

While walking around the golf course I have notice different golf course signs. Each golf course sign has its own use and purpose. Today, I was able to visit this website called Golf Course Sign Shop that sells different golf course signage. They sell bronze golf signage, aluminum signage and engrave plastic signage. Golf Course Sign Shop also have a wide selection of golf course accessories such as ball washer options, post and finial bases, on and around the golf course accessories.

How to Get Rid of Sore Throat the Natural Way

I know that having sore throats is not an easy thing. It is very painful to swallow any type of food or drink any liquids. While growing up I remember that my grandma usually tell us to get a slice of ginger and peel it. We suck the ginger root until its flavor went away. That is how we cure our sore throat.

While reading the Discovery channel website today, I have discovered that there are some other ways to cure sore throat naturally such as:

  • Chamomile Tea- is also good to ward off sore throat
  • Honey and Lemon- Mix a teaspoon of honey in boiling water and you are good to go.
  • Cayenne Pepper- Mix half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in boiling water and drink it. It will definitely cure your sore throat.

Shutter Island Will Make You Shiver

I’ve been a big Leonardo Dicaprio fan ever since the movie Titanic. While a few of his movies left me disappointed, the majority of them were highly entertaining. This is why I decided to watch Shutter Island the other night. I found it on DirectTV. After making the selection, I was ready to roll. I had my popcorn and soda just like I was in the theater – I always do this.

The movie started out very mysterious. I especially liked the old lady with the creepy face when they walked into the mental institution. The next hour or so was more like a mystery than a thriller. But as the movie progressed, the movie became more intense. This was especially the case when they entered Ward 3. This was where Leonardo had a scrape with a patient/prisoner and became very violent. This was also the first hint at who he had really become.

While there were many cool scenes, my favorite overall aspect of the movie was with his partner. They had a great working relationship yet you could still sense that something was off. It was fun to guess at what that ‘off’ factor might have been. It was quite a shocker to see what was really going on when they ended up at the top of the lighthouse toward the end of the movie. And the closing line, which I won’t give away, was extremely powerful.

  • Thank the blogger who give the award to you.

  • Pass it on to 10 other blogs which you feel have real substance.
I am passing this award to my top ten blogger friends namely:

Keeping Your Home

It’s important to take some steps to keep your home safe before you and your family leave for your summer vacation and the first item is to make your home look like it’s occupied.

If you can’t stop all mail and newspaper deliveries ask a friend or neighbor to collect these for you and if you’re going to be gone for very long, ask someone to set the trash out for collection on the appointed day. Keep the yard up by hiring someone to do routine work like raking leaves or mowing the lawn. Set timers to turn indoor and outdoor lights on and off at the appropriate times.

It’s also a good idea to turn off the ringers on all telephones because ringing phones can indicate that no one is home to answer them. If a car is left at home ask a neighbor to move it or re-park it periodically and unplug the garage door opener because some manufactures use the same combination and/or frequency for all their garage door openers.

Make sure all doors and windows are closed and locked and before leaving give a house key to the neighbor who will be watching your home. Finally and importantly, before walking out the door be sure that your alarm system is set before leaving the house for your vacation.

Thanks to Alex Tostly for the post.

My Sisters and Brother in Action

My mother was telling me the other night that they already watch the movie "The Karate Kid" with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. My younger siblings really love the movie and they even pose few moves in the camera. It made me cry and I miss them a lot. How I wish I can spend more time with my family in the Philippines because my sisters and brothers are growing fast these days.

Fitness Equipment

I have been trying to get back in shape for awhile now but nothing seems to work for me. I get lazy going back to the gym five times a week together with my husband and I just have plenty of excuses that I can come up with so hubby will let me stay at home. In my opinion, my husband already loses a lot of weight and he even started to have a six pack form on his stomach. His biceps and triceps are in shape and it looks yummy. Sometimes, I get insecure because I know he looks very good for me.

Well, I was scanning the web today to research on what will be the best option for me so I will get motivated to lose the extra weight on my entire body. I happen to visit this website called Health Fit Net who provides high top quality of medical and fitness diagnostics equipments to all their clients across the globe. Cystic Fibrosis

While watching the show America's Got Talent, I was very amazed that this two wonderful individual is suffering from cystic fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is common disease that will affect the entire body. One of the most common symptoms is difficulty in breathing. I was in tears while listening to their story because their physician told them since they were small that they will never be able to sing at all because of their illness.

Other sign of having cystic fibrosis includes having sinus infections, poor growth, infertility and diarrhea. Cystic fibrosis is the effect of a mutation in the gene cystic fibrosis Tran's membrane conductance regulator.

I am truly amazed that they were able to sing really great against all odds.

Unwell

I feel really worst today because I am sick. I started getting sick last night after I took a shower and decided to go out just to drive around the east side of town with my hubby. The weather was great a little chilly but manageable. Well, after we got home I felt weird and I started having runny nose and it feels like there's phlegm that was stuck on my throat. Anyways, I drink my medicine but I was not able to sleep well since I have to breathe using my mouth.

I am so darn tired and I wanted to call in sick today but I pushed myself to work. While I was at my working place, I have noticed that it seems that the time move slow and all I wanted to do is sleep and relax. I am glad that I was able to finish my 8 hour of work and hopefully, I will get better tomorrow.

By the way, I just drink my NyQuil medicine. Hopefully, I will be able to fall asleep in a little bit.

Foods That Help You Look Younger

I am sure every one of us would like to have a younger looking skin. This is what I've read today from Prevention Magazine. These three foods will make your skin appear young and vibrant.

  • Virgin oil- it contains fatty acids that will help protect our skin from the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun. We need to consume one table spoon of virgin oil to help our skin become more pliable.
  • Chocolate- dark chocolate is good for the skin because it will help our skin appear to be glowing and shiny looking.
  • Almonds- contain vitamin E which is most needed antioxidants for our skin.
What are you waiting folks? Start eating them today for a healthy and younger looking skin.
