Puppy Love

We certainly were not in the market for a new dog, but when the opportunity presented itself to have a sweet little fur ball come live with us full time, it was more than we could resist. It didn’t take long for us to remember, puppies come with challenges! We are adjusting well and I have been watching some great shows on direct tv milwaukee and learning a lot of good ways to offer positive reinforcements when she is a good girl. I love The Dog Whisperer, he has taught me many ways to make both my dogs realize I am pack leader and this is the way things are going to be. They both seem so calm and comforted by having someone in charge. They also make such good company for each other. I never thought my big old mutt would love to play with a tiny pooch like he does, but he loves her as much as we do. It makes for lots of great pictures and belly laughs just to watch them play.

My US Naturalization Ceremony

The month of March has been really hectic for me because both of my classes for Monday and Tuesday need a lot of my attention. I have a lot of study materials plus my professors required a lot of readings on both classes. I do enjoy my classes this spring because I had learned a lot especially the history of Mexican-American and Modern Africa.

Well, I have some wonderful news to share with you folks. I am so proud to tell you that I became a Naturalized United States Citizen as of March 28, 2012. The ceremony was very moving and it made me want to cry but I was doing my best to compose myself during the whole ceremony. It was a small Oath Ceremony with 32 participants from 5 different countries. I happened to be the only one from the Philippines who became a US Citizen. I am grateful for my husband and for my family for all the support and loved plus I am thankful for our God the Almighty who makes every impossible thing possible for His children.  I have uploaded some pictures also within this article during the said event.

Young Achiever in the Family

I am so happy and proud to be the oldest sibling among 12 children because I got to see my younger siblings achieve top honor rolls at school. Actually, my baby brother and my little sister who is the youngest among 12 children have their recognition ceremony at their school today and both of them received first honor roll. I am really happy to know that they were able to adjust very well with their new school after my mother switch school last year. Without further ado, here's the picture for you to see.

It Feels Like Summer

I woke up really early today because I was sweating like a hog. The weather has been really hot lately and it just barely the start of spring. I can already imagine how hot it will be in Texas this summer. Our AC in our apartment has not been on but I am hoping they will have it on very soon because I can't stand the heat. The heat makes me angry and frustrated. I am so excited for Wednesday to come because something special will happen on that day which will change my life forever.

Well, I'd better go back to bed because I still need to attend a class later today. Ciao everyone!

First Day of Spring Has Arrived

The weather yesterday was crazy. First we experience sand storm and after that we had hails and then after I got out from my afternoon class we had snow showers for a bit but it melted right away. It was indeed the craziest so far that I've experienced since my arrival here in Texas for nearly six years. Since I wasn't expecting the weather to be cold yesterday, I only wore a light sweater which was really bad.

I am happy that today is the first day of Spring and I can't wait to check out the different type of flowers that are blooming at my FIL's house this weekend. Happy first day of Spring folks!

I Am Back from Vacation Folks!

I have missed a lot of opportunities while I was away for our Spring break vacation since last weekend. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience I may have cause but I would like to tell everyone that I am back and I am ready to conquer the world of blogging once again. Highlights During Our Visit at Sea World San Antonio, Texas

Our Spring break vacation is finally over and I am returning to work tomorrow at my place of work as well as dear husband too. We are so happy that our plans came along and we have a fabulous time together while visiting San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Texas for six days. It was indeed worth our time off from our places of work. Hubby and I are planning to save some money so we can take another vacation for our six wedding anniversary later this year.

Good morning folks, I would like to tell each one of you that dear hubby and I finally arrived in San Antonio, Texas after a grueling 8 hour drive on the road. We were fortunate that both hubby and I were able to take some time off from our places of work together. March Madness

It seems that time flies fast these days. It has been five days that I haven't posted anything not because I don't have anything to say but I am just extremely busy with my work and school. My weekend was pretty good because I was able to spend time with dear hubby. We went to the firing range and shot our rifles and handguns. Also, we are heading to San Antonio for Spring break this coming weekend and I am more excited than ever. It is my first time to visit San Antonio and we are going to Sea World, River Walk and other places. We also are planning to visit Corpus Christi and check out the beaches there. I am counting the days when we can go. Hopefully, my vacation leave will be approved tomorrow.
