El Paso, Texas has been ranked as the second safest city in America of cities with a population of more than 500, 000. Last year, El Paso, Texas was ranked third safest city. The ranking was based on the 2008 U.C.R Crime statistics as well as other considerations. I have read these article from the Newspaper Tree and the ranking was conducted by CQ Press.
The number one most dangerous city in America of cities with a population of more than 500,000 is Detroit, Michigan.
