Do You Get Tired Easy?

I am sharing this article that I read from the Health Magazine. These are the reasons why you may be feeling tired that easy.

1. Your thyroid is out of whack- If you have unexplained weight gain, drier skin than usual, or a feeling of being cold - along with your fatigue – you may have hypothyroidism. This condition occurs when the thyroid gland, located in your neck, doesn’t produce enough metabolism-regulating hormones. Ladies, eight out of 10 patients are women! Hypothyroidism can be treated easily – and you should start to feel better almost immediately.

2. You're depressed- Fatigue is one of the most common signs of depression. About 12-million adults suffer from it, and the risk for women is about 20% over a lifetime. Getting more exercise can help, but if you’re feeling especially stressed, anxious or sad, coming clean to a therapist can help put you on the road to recovery.

3. You're low on B-12- This nutrient is an energy-booster that maintains healthy red blood cells - which carry oxygen through the body. When these cells aren’t functioning at peak levels, your body isn’t being properly oxygenated, which means you feel worn out. When a B-12 deficiency becomes bad, it can lead to numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, difficulty with balance, poor memory and confusion. A simple blood test can tell if you’re low. B-12 comes mainly from animal sources, so make sure your diet includes dairy, eggs, meat or fish. Vegans can get fortified veggie burgers and soy milk. There are supplements, but B-12 isn’t easily absorbed. Your doctor might recommend an injection.
