I am very happy today because I was able to enroll at the prestigious University of Texas at El Paso here in our place. I already had a Bachelor Degree in Commerce major in Banking and Finance in the Philippines before I moved here in Texas. The four year degree that I had is equivalent to the Bachelors Degree in Business Administration here in the states.
Well, a week ago I decided to study for Bachelors of Arts major in Psychology because I wanted to work as a counselor at the school in the future. I have so many things in my mind right now but I just take my goals one step at a time. Maybe next year I will proceed for a nursing degree but who knows. I am excited to attend school again this coming week as well as working as a substitute teacher.
The nice thing about it is that I was exempted for the TOEFL exam. The Director of the Registrar told me that I don't have to take the English exam because it's obvious that I spoke well and understand the English language. The TOEFL exam is given to students whose major language is not in English.
I only need to take 30 hours worth of classes to get my second Bachelors which is great! I got my student ID as well and got my Financial Aid.
