Ginataang Manok Sa Piña for Dinner

I had the time to cook for dinner and I am very happy that I made a delicious meal for my husband. We had Ginataang Manok Sa Piña (Chicken with Pineapple and Coconut Milk) for our dinner and I made it for the first time. Hubby was really impressed and I can't wait to cook this again for my friends at work. By the way, you can find the complete recipe at my other blog Kusina Inato.

Happy evening folks!

Desperate Me

I am planning to cut my hair short. I know my husband will not really like the idea but I definitely need a haircut. I am not sure if how short I would cut them but I am looking for a new hairstyle that is manageable. I have a lot of things to consider since a trip to the saloon means spending a lot of money. I might just end up visiting my close girlfriend in San Antonio and ask her to do it for me and I know she won't charge me a dime.

Earlier today, I already request a one week off from work because my husband and I are considering in going in a mini vacation in San Antonio this month before school starts. I am not sure yet if my boss will approve on my request but hopefully she will.

Anyways, while checking my mailbox today I overheard the apartment manager talking about vinyl shutters to one of his employees. I have no idea why but who knows only time will tell.

Vacation House

Today was the first day of school here in my place. I had noticed earlier today that the streets were busy and there are school zone signs on the road telling all drivers to slow down and watch for kids that are crossing the street. I went back to my normal morning shift.

Well, there were many new students and a few old faces that I recognized during school lunch break today. The store was full of students and there was a long line. I was the only cashier who was taking their orders upfront but it wasn't really a big deal to me. My colleagues are happy that business is back as usual and thank goodness that the students are back.

After the school rush my other co-workers help me clean the dining room. My boss was happy that we did our part to help each other during the school rush. Guess what? She awarded all the morning crews with a gift card worth $30 each.

Anyways, my lady boss will be off tomorrow and she is looking forward to visit the cottages that one of her relative owned.

Robin Hood 2010

We just arrived from the movie theater not to long ago. My husband and I were watching Robin Hood starring Russel Crowe and Cate Blanchett and I think the movie was fabulous. The plot is very captivating and I really like the whole setting. I was a little disappointed with the ending but overall I absolutely like the movie.

I have always been a fan to Russel Crowe after I saw Gladiator.

Mama and Papa

I just realized right now that my parents will be celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary this month. Well, I talked to two of my younger sisters on the phone today and suggested them to make a surprised party for my parents. I will help them with financial matters and I just needed them to make this event a memorable one for my mother and father.

I was thinking of purchasing two tickets for them to go on a vacation in Hongkong just to unwind their selves and relaxed and enjoy each other. My parents are very hard working individuals who always give their best to provide for their big family. I know that it is not easy to have 12 children especially that the economy in the Philippines isn't great at all but they were able to send all their children to school. They already have a daughter who is a registered nurse; two daughters that are licensed English teacher and Physical Education teacher and two oldest daughters that have Banking and Finance degree.

My brother is planning to become a Patent Lawyer in the future. He is now pursuing a four year degree in Political Science and is looking forward to become the first lawyer in my family. I am happy that everyone in the family has their own goal that they wanted to achieve in their life.

Belle of My Eyes

I was able to chat with some of my former classmates in elementary and high school lately online and we are mostly remembering all the funny things that happened to us while growing up. Everyone can't fathom that we are now living in different places or different countries around the world. Some of my former classmates are married and most of them are in a relationship.

Some of my classmates even share old pictures online that were taken during school activities which include Girl Scout and Boy Scout camping, teacher's day, Valentine's Day, Christmas day and a lot more. I can't believe how skinny I was while growing up. One of the pictures shows that I was wearing my Kung Fu shoes and pigtail. Honestly, it brings joy to my heart to remember the old good days.

Anyways, I found out that my childhood friend who recently moved from the Philippines to Canada is planning to visit me for Christmas this year. I am so excited to see her because she is like a sister to me. Finally, I am interested to check Arizona beauty schools for my sister who is getting ready to migrate here.
