Anchor Laura Diaz Now is one of the top leading Hispanic Journalist in the nation. Let me bring you back from her humble beginning and how she climbs the ladder of success with her courage, her strength and her passion for Journalism.
CBS Anchor Laura Diaz was born in Santa Paul and at young aged of 4 her family moved to Santa Clarita Valley. She attended her high school years at William S. Hart High School. CBS Anchor Laura Diaz was part of the cheer leading squad back when she was in high school. She gets her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She had a passion for writing and public speaking.
She had her first job in the television with KSBY-TV in San Luis and landed as a substitute anchor for Fresno for KFSN-TV. In 1997 she was chosen to be the lead anchor for the 5 p.m to 11 p.m newscast. Laura Diaz is the first Hispanic Anchor woman who ever hold that title. She then moved from KABC-TV to KCBS-TV.
Her achievements includes: Eight time Emmy Award Winner, a back to back Golden Mike Awards and many more.
