I have notice lately that I have few varicose veins on my legs; though they are not noticeable but if I look at closely on my legs I can definitely tell that I have it there. I try to find out what varicose veins are and I found out that they are swollen, twisted, painful veins that have filled with an abnormal collection of blood. Varicose veins are mostly common between women especially women who stand longer periods at work such as women who works as a teacher or even pregnant women.
Symptoms of Varicose Veins includes:
1. Pain in the legs- fullness, heaviness, aching
2. Visible, enlarge veins
3. Mild swelling of ankles
4. Skin at the ankle discolored brown
5. Skin ulcers near the ankles
The best alternative for treatment is to avoid excess standing for a long period of time. It is very good to elevate your legs when resting or when sleeping. Likewise, to wear elastic support hose is a big factor to treat varicose veins.
