We have a huge population of military families here in my place because we have a military base. Actually, most of the Filipinos that I've met in my four years of living in Texas are military wives or one of their family members are serving in the United States Army. Generally, they are originally from the other fifty states who were assigned to work in the military base in Texas.
I have noticed that there is a huge demand of city apartments around my area and a lot of businesses are opening. I am more than happy to know this because there is a huge assurance that we will not be out of job in the long run. My husband and I have been apartment renters for over four years now and it might take awhile for us to get our own house but we are surely working on that.
